At MSHC, we focus on the following target groups:
  • People with a sexually transmissible infection who need treatment
  • People with symptoms of a possible sexually transmissible infection
  • People who are at risk of sexually transmissible infections
Walk in and wait clinic:

Melbourne Sexual Health Centre is a walk in and wait clinic. On arrival you will speak with a nurse about your sexual health concerns. Depending on what your medical need and daily demands on the service we may refer you to another service or ask you to come back on another day. Leave enough time:

Allow at least two hours for your visit. Your total time in the clinic will vary depending on your health issues and how busy the clinic is. On busy days, your visit may take longer than two hours.

Some appointments available:

MSHC operates limited appointment-only clinics. Bookings must be discussed with a nurse. Call 93416200 to discuss options.

  • Wednesday Test and Go express screening for gay and other men who have sex with men (Medicare only) 
  • Alternate Mondays sexual health screening for gay other men who have sex with men (not restricted to Medicare)
  • Thursday Evening Clinic – appointment only for all client groups
Results:

If you are attending for results, allow at least 30 minutes. Please do not come between 12.30 – 1.30 for results.

Medicare:

If you have a Medicare card, please bring it with you. International visitors can be seen without a Medicare card.
