Exciting news! People living in the Geelong area now have more sexual health services available. Kardinia Health has joined the Victorian Sexual Health Network as a new GP partner. Several of their General Practitioners and members of their Nursing Team have undergone extensive training with Melbourne Sexual Health Centre and have extended their sexual health services.
Kardinia Health are now offering a comprehensive range of sexual health services under the Sexual Health In Practice (SHIP) program, including:
- Nurse assessment and GP consultation
- Routine check-ups for sexually transmissible infections (STIs)
- Testing and treatment for people with STIs symptoms
- Treatment for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis and genital warts
- Sex work certificates: check-ups for people working in the sex industry
- Prescriptions for PEP and PrEP
- Medicare bulk-billed service to eligible SHIP patients
