The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially designated the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre (MSHC) as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Sexual Health (AUS-163), recognising MSHC’s global leadership in clinical innovation, research excellence, and health-sector impact.
Professor Doctor Jason Ong has been appointed the inaugural Director (Head of Centre), marking a significant milestone for Australia’s contribution to advancing sexual health across the Western Pacific and beyond. The Centre will support WHO through high-quality research, policy translation, guideline development, and capacity strengthening to improve sexual health outcomes internationally.
