Accessing our service

There are two ways you can access our service:

  • Make a booking: If you don't have genital symptoms and need routine STI testing or a sex worker certificate
  • Walk in and wait: If you have genital symptoms, need testing, treatment or a vaccination

What we do

We provide the following services:

  • STI testing and treatment
  • Vaccination
  • Free condoms, lubricants and dental dams
  • Free needle and syringe program
  • Test results over the phone
  • Sexual health information
  • Referrals to other health services

Medication we prescribe is provided by the Pharmacy.

We also provide phone interpreter services for people who don’t speak English.

Who we care for

We care for and support people who:

  • are seeking an STI checkup
  • have an STI and need treatment
  • have symptoms of a possible STI
  • are at a higher risk of getting STIs 

What to bring

When you come to our clinic, you should bring:

  • Your Medicare card (if you have one)
  • Adverse drug alert card (if you have one)
  • Previous test results or reports
  • List of medicines you are currently taking

Get an STI checkup or treatment for STIs at our partner GP clinics.

What's involved in an STI test?

Routine testing consists of  self-collected swabs and urine samples for gonorrhoea and chlamydia, and a nurse collected blood test for HIV and syphilis.
Other tests are offered based on symptoms. The video below has more details.

What happens to information about me?

We need information from you to treat you effectively and safely. When asking for information, staff will maintain your privacy. Only those involved in your care will have access to your medical information. Information is stored in a secure manner, both paper-based and electronically.
